Tuesday, March 12 2024

Aldesa, through its Mexican concessionaire CAS, has again been rewarded for its strategic commitment to sustainability by winning the Socially Responsible Company [Empresa Socialmente Responsible] (ESR) 2024 award. This recognition, granted by Centro Mexicano para la Filantropía (CEMEFI), is in addition to others such as the GRESB 2023 Sustainability Index, where it obtained the highest score, leading the Road and Transportation sectors in Latin America (ranking eighth worldwide in infrastructure sustainability terms).

CAS has also recorded outstanding achievement in three of the four fields foreseen: environmental, governance and global context, exceeding the average of all participating companies. As for the services subsector related to transport by road, CAS has surpassed the average in all four fields (social matters included).

This new recognition in sustainability matters constitutes another milestone for Aldesa and confirms the organisation’s wish to continue acting responsibly, promoting projects that contribute to social wellbeing and care for the environment

Aldesa is CAS’s reference shareholder; this concessionaire is also partly invested in by Ainda, Energía & Infraestructura. CAS is in charge of operation & maintenance for the Tuxtla Gutiérrez-San Cristóbal de las Casas (46.5 km) and Arriaga-Ocozocoautla (93 km) toll motorways, in the state of Chiapas (Mexico). Both motorways are two of the main arteries in Chiapas, which register approximately 12 million toll passengers per year. Aldesa Group’s concessions activity in Latin America also covers other road projects, such as the 195-kilometre long motorway known as Ruta 5 Talca-Chillán, in Chile.
