Aldesa makes its debut in the Companies League with its new team, the Aldesa-Acisa Football Club

Aldesa continues to support all programs and activities that have a positive impact on its teamwork. The result is Aldesa-Acisa Football Club, a new in-house initiative derived from the need to promote wellbeing and health through sports. The team, consisting of Aldesa and Acisa co-workers in Seville, has made its debut with excellent results in the Companies League, Spain’s largest intercompany 7-a-side football tournament.

Further to this competition, Aldesa-Acisa F.C. will play against other Seville-based companies during 15 matches, seeking a classification in the Final National Stage, where it will fight for the champions cup against the finalists of another six capital cities in Spain’s provinces- Bilbao, Madrid, Málaga, Oviedo, Valencia and Zaragoza. The event is scheduled to be held in Madrid next June.

Aldesa Runners celebrates its first anniversary with a total of 350 supportive km

Another one of the sports programs sponsored by Aldesa amongst its staff, Aldesa Runners, has recently celebrated its first anniversary, in December 2022. During its first year of existence, runners have participated in six supportive races and have covered approximately 350 kilometers to promote protection of the environment, a better future for children, effective gender equality and the prevention of occupational risks, as some of their charitable causes.

Aldesa, a signatory of the Global Compact since 2015, strives to ensure that its economic progress is compatible with the integration of environmental and social concerns into its management model. Thus, its operative strategy includes contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals to end poverty, to protect the planet and to guarantee universal and global wellbeing. Specifically, through these sports programs, it promotes SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being).
