Tuesday, January 14 2020

PKP Polish Railway Lines, the Polish railway infrastructure administrator, has signed a contract with Aldesa Group to carry out the modernization of the passenger information system in 133 railway stations in the country. The project is valued at 42.69 million euros and is expected to be completed by mid 2022.

The contract includes the design, delivery and installation of elements for the display of dynamic and updated information to passengers and a video surveillance system together with technical infrastructure in railway stations and stops.

The Central Dynamic Passenger Information System will provide a rapid transfer of information to each screen and transmission system using a new and independent system. Passengers will benefit from additional information on train schedules, departures and arrivals through screens, interactive stands and a loudspeaker system, as well as a higher level of security thanks to the monitoring system with which stations will be equipped.

The Infrastructure and Environment Operational Programme of the European Union cofound the project.
