Aldesa will build a new section of the S17 highway in Poland for over 153 million euros (658.6 million zlotys). The General Directorate of National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) has considered the bid submitted by the consortium consisting of Aldesa Construcciones Polska Sp. and Aldesa Construcciones, S.A. as the most advantageous among the 11 received.
Specifically, Aldesa will carry out the design and construction of a 16.6 km section between Piaski - Łopiennik, in the southeastern part of the country. The route will follow a new path, along the current national road No. 17, from the Piaski Wschód interchange, which will be reconstructed to connect the S17 with the S12 at the Piaski-Dorohusk level. In addition, three road junctions will be built in Piaski Południe, Fajsławice and Łopiennik.
The establishment of a traffic management system, the construction of drainage infrastructure, and the installation of lighting and environmental protection devices - such as noise barriers and animal crossings - are some of the works included in the contract.
Aldesa, with over 50 years of experience in the field of global infrastructure, reaffirms its leading position in Poland with this award. Precisely, in July 2023, the company signed in the country what is the largest contract in its history in terms of amount: the expansion of the Olefins petrochemical complex for Orlen, for 442.6 million euros (around 1,974 million zlotys). Returning to the road sector, also for GDDKiA, the company is a contractor for the S74, S19, S6 and S7 highways. The latter, currently under construction in its Płońsk-Czosnów section, is valued at 124 million euros (563 million zlotys).
