Tuesday, May 21 2024
Aldesa, through its Mexican concession company CAS, has been recognized as a Socially Responsible Company (ESR) by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (CEMEFI), as part of the XVII Latin American Meeting of ESR whose thematic axis was "The impact of the ESR distinction on business models".
This year marks the first time that CEMEFI has awarded the ESR Distinction to more than 1,000 large companies in 30 states of the Mexican Republic under the New Measurement Model, based on ESG (environmental, social and governance) criteria, in addition to evaluating the development of social responsibility management.
CAS stands out as one of the 104 companies that obtained the distinction for the first time and one of the five companies in the State of Chiapas. Achieving a score of 2.82, exceeding the average in the four evaluated areas (environmental, social, governance and global context) both at the subsector level (Road Transport-Related Services) and at the industry level.
Obtaining the ESR distinction not only improves CAS's public image, but also generates reliability and trust among stakeholders, presenting a significant advantage for investors to access investment fund capital.
Aldesa is the reference shareholder of CAS, a concessionaire in which Ainda, Energía & Infraestructura also participates. CAS is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the toll highways of Tuxtla Gutiérrez-San Cristóbal de las Casas (46.5 km) and Arriaga-Ocozocoautla (93 km), in the state of Chiapas (Mexico). These are two of the main backbone routes of Chiapas, with approximately 12 million tolls collected per year. The Aldesa Group's concession area in Latin America also includes other road projects such as the Ruta 5 Talca-Chillán highway in Chile, of 195 kilometers.
