The honorary president of Aldesa, Antonio Fernández, awarded the Medal of Professional Merit

Antonio Fernández, honorary president of Aldesa, has been recognized for his work and professional career with the Medal of Professional Merit, awarded by the Association of Civil Engineers. This recognition, awarded at national level, recognizes those civil engineers who stand out with clear notoriety in any of the areas of their profession.

The award ceremony, held on October 18 in Madrid, was attended by the Secretary General for Transport and Mobility, María José Rallo. The ceremony, chaired by the president of the Association of Civil Engineers, Miguel Ángel Carrillo, also brought together the Vice-President of the Association of Civil Engineers, Ricardo Martín de Bustamante, and the members of the Governing Board, Mª del Pino Álvarez, Carmen de Andrés Conde, Alejandro Castillo and Federico Bonet.

Antonio Fernández, a graduate of the Association of Civil Engineers in the class of 1970, has a career of more than 50 years in the practice of this profession. Among other relevant jobs, he held the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aldesa Construcciones, S.A. between 1991 and 2014, a period in which the company's turnover increased from 1,500 million old pesetas to 1,500 million euros. With him as Honorary President of Aldesa since 2014, the company is today among the Top 10 construction companies in Spain and Mexico, as well as being a reference in the industrial, renewable energy and information technology sectors. It also has a team of more than 2,340 professionals and is present in 14 countries.
