What differentiates the Aldesa Group from the competition is its workforce. At the end of 2009, Aldesa Group's personnel included 3,278 employees. Out of this number, 71% work in the companies controlled by the Group, and the rest work in the main construction company.
These recent additions to the Group have contributed to the expansion of its business scope, together with the possibilities for professional development and internal promotion, and it is precisely this development which brings with it the need for ongoing recruitment of professional staff in all areas of the Company's business.
With regard to its future employees, both in respect of its policy on scholarships and attracting professional personnel with experience, Aldesa seeks professionalism, dedication and leadership. Its Human Resources policy involves the creation of value for the company and its personnel, through welcome plans, continuous training, internal development and promotion and incentive systems.
Training and university grants
The knowledge and experience of the Company's team is continuously strengthened by the Training Programmes being offered on an ongoing basis by the company, and aimed at technical training in subjects such as Health and Safety, IT, Quality and the Environment, Management Skills, and so on.
In 2006, over 250 training courses were given to over 600 people, covering a wide range of subjects related to construction quality, environmental management, prevention of risks at work, site management, information technology, management skills and other specialist courses.
The Aldesa Group's Human Resources policy is fundamentally based on internal development. One of its main goals is to involve students in the final years of their academic study as part of the Annual Grants Plan. In recent years, over 200 students have benefited from this Programme, of which over 40 have gone on to be hired by the company to join one of its teams.
