Grupo Aldesa's vocation is to continue being a solid reference for its clients in all its business areas, always being at the forefront of technology. Because of this, throughout its distinguished career both in the construction industry and in the rest of its activities, Aldesa has been constantly dedicated to processes that promote improvements and innovation, investing each year in both technical and human resources.

In 2008 this effort took on a more prominent position, when R&D&I started being centrally managed at the Grupo Aldesa level.

In 2009, we have already seen the impact of that centralised management thanks to the implementation of a gradual but powerful process to coordinate, detect and promote innovative activities in all the areas of activity of the Group. As a result, the Group achieved better management and more advanced technological projects related to engineering and telecommunications, and made a strong effort to improve the documentation process which is reflected in the large number of projects in 2008 and 2009 that are in the process of being certified by accredited bodies. Grupo Aldesa currently has 16 projects certified during 2009 and expects an increase of 15% in 2010.

Particularly noteworthy are the collaborations of different company's within the Group with prestigious research centres such as the Centro Superior de Investigaciones Científicas [Advanced Centre for Scientific Research] and its Instituto Torroja de Ciencias de la Construcción [Torroja Construction Sciences Institute]. The Group is also collaborating with the Polytechnic Universities in Madrid, Granada and Seville. Many projects have also been backed by numerous agencies and aid programs such as the Centro de Desarrollo Tecnológico Industrial (CDTI) [Centre for Industrial Technological Development], the Junta de Andalucía [Andalusian Government], the Instituto Madrileño de Desarrollo (IMADE) [Development Institute of Madrid] or the Avanza 2 Plan of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce. Also noteworthy is the membership of the Group in Technology Platforms such as the Prometeo platform in Spain. .
