The current Aldesa was created in 1969 through the acquisition of the company “Excavaciones Santamaría”. The company subsequently located its headquarters in Madrid and began to expand its stock of machinery, thus enabling it to begin to work on public sector projects.
At the end of 1991, the directors of the company changed and as a result of new professionals joining the company’s management, Aldesa developed into a construction company at the national level. Through its new management team, the company was able to contact local and Autonomous Community administrative bodies, and in three years the company’s production increased by 80%. Since 1995 Aldesa has opened up to private clients, and has continued to grow.
In 2009 total income exceeded 1,000 million euro, making it one of the top ten construction group in Spain and the largest company in the ANCI (National Association of Independent Builders), of which it is a founding member.
