Aldesa supports the Company-Development Programme implemented by Ingeniería Sin Fronteras

Aldesa Construcciones, S.A. has signed an agreement with Ingeniería Sin Fronteras Asociación para el Desarrollo (ISF ApD) (Engineers Without Borders Development Association-ISF ApD) to support the Company-Development Programme, developed by this NGO in collaboration with the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECI).
The program will last four years and is aimed to the promotion of responsible action in the private sector in the South, through education activities for development and pilot projects to explore their participation in development initiatives.
In essence Aldesa supports specially the dissemination of project objectives and activities, using communication channels and spaces, and other activities carried out within the same and related to the activity of the company. Thus, Aldesa finds its full identification with the philosophy of ISF in the sense that engineering is an essential tool for universal access to basic services.
The signing of this agreement is part of the field of Aldesa Social Action, oriented to the development of projects related to their businesses that create value for the community. These projects are limited to two areas of activity: the promotion of infrastructures in the poorest regions of the world and the social integration of disadvantaged people in the communities where the company operates.
Supporting cooperation programmes
Aldesa has been working alongside ISF in recent years supporting various development cooperation projects, like the Hydrosanitary Programme to improve the access of the population of the Kigoma region (Tanzania) to basic water and sanitation services; Willay Programme, aimed to strengthen the governability of rural public entities in Peru with the support of telecommunications? and computing infrastructures; the Cattle breeding Development and Territorial Management Programme, which is undertaken in the most underpriviledged rural areas of Nicaragua; and the Water, Energy and Communications Programme for Health in the province of Cabo Delgado (Mozambique).
Aldesa Construcciones is integrated in Grupo Aldesa, one of the top ten construction groups in Spain and operates besides in the concessions, renewable energy, engineering and services sectors.
Ingeniería Sin Fronteras Asociación para el Desarrollo (ISF ApD) is an NGO that advocates a rights-based approach focusing on universal access to basic services, and encourages the eradication of poverty by putting the technology in the service of human development. ApD ISF is an organization of Public Interest and accredited by the Spanish Agency for International Development and NGOs qualified in the technology sector.
