ACISA presents its novelties in TRAFIC
Tuesday, October 27, 2009
For the celebration of the Road Safety and Highway Equipment International Show (TRAFIC) in Madrid, ACISA (Aeronaval de Construcción e Instalaciones, S.A.) has presented the latest products developed by the company, a pioneer in Spain in applied traffic technology. Among these products, Cinemómetro Red Speed© stands out, the only one of its kind in the market that allows it to go undetected by radar detectors, and immune to frequency inhibitors installed in vehicles. The technology is based on communications that do not emit any signal (piezoelectric). It has the capability to control circulation speeds of up to four lanes simultaneously, which simplifies installation and reduces costs. At the same time, the company has presented the Automatic Fining System for vehicles that invade reserved spaces (bus lanes, reserved hotel spaces, restricted access, etc.). The integrated information in its database allows it to distinguish unauthorized vehicles from those that are. The system reads license plates and records a small video clip as proof, including some forbidden driving maneuvers by the offending vehicle. It is also worth mentioning the Undeformable and unbreakable bollards with memory effect that recovers to its original form after vehicular impact. The bollards or pylons are made of a plastic material of great toughness and strength, but at the same time possessing great elasticity. The so-called memory effect makes it go back to its original form and features as if no impact had taken place at all, which makes a positive economic savings in terms of replacement. In addition, Acisa brings to the market a new concept in the field of Detection for vehicles transporting dangerous goods. It deals with a system that detects such vehicles, identifying the type of goods being transported and its characteristics. Not only does it read the special license plates of these types of transport, but also interprets it, communicating this info and the vehicle?s presence on a determined road and it direction to a control center. The system allows for the tracking of the vehicle to have it under control throughout its trip. The same system has been developed to allow speed control at a certain point and, at the same time, obtain the average circulation data according to sections. ACISA (Aeronaval de Construcciones e Instalaciones, S.A.), with offices in Barcelona, Madrid, and Seville, is a specialist in electrical engineering and telecommunications applied to managing traffic, airports, public lighting, ports, railway, control systems, and security. Belonging to Grupo Aldesa, it has consolidated itself as one of the most technologically advanced and innovative companies, a leader in engineering and tunnel prepping and equipment. It has carried out projects for AENA (in airports such as El Prat in Barcelona, Madrid-Barajas, or Jerez), the DGT (Dirección General de Tráfico), the Servei Català de Trànsit, RENFE, the Autonomous Government of Andalucia, CSIC, and the Town Council of Madrid, among others.
